To all those interested (i.e probably nobody  :o) ...
here is a forum status report - we are getting hit quite heavily by potential spammers at the moment. They are probably all bots. 20 or 30 per day are getting through the sign-up process and only rarely (maybe one per day) does one get through to add their website address, MSN, AIM and Yahoo details. What are they I hear you ask. Who knows, so long ago ...
I'll leave this message up for just a few days then delete it.

Is tehre some sort of a plugin for protecting agains spam registrations available?
I've switched my site to CleanTalk, seems to work better (the number of spam registrations was reduced dramatically)

Maybe, but I can't do so, only Chris can. It's not an excessive amount, this message was just a heads-up to you all that an occasional spammer may get through when I am busy doing other things, and I am busy doing other things at the moment. Big things afoot!

I understand, just something to consider. This spam registrations thing is really annoying as hell :'(

Too bad the robot spammers cannot be detected to themselves (endless looping) or to other robots, thus creating a robot spammer war within in their community.
