Empty data fields should display nothing instead of "0"

I have created a highly customized org chart. Most of my shapes have a photo and the display fields "name" and "task description". If the external data for "task description" is empty, I would like nothing to appear, but instead I get a 0. Is there a way to fix this?

Instead of an empty field, what about a space?

Liked the idea! Unfortunately still shows as zero.

Presumably, you're using standard Visio Org Chart shapes...
Can you be more specific, e.g., which shape, which entry, etc ? Upload a simple example would also help.
