New Shape with Shape Data not working...

to add a shape and hold the group data, need to use the behavior to set the "add on drop" to both the group and shape.
then, select the shape and drag over the group....when hash appears, that shape is now part of the group.

I will say there is a bug around using docmd(1312) at the top most group level.   Can get to that with shape data screen

You should run vision in developer mode:  File==>options ==> at the bottom ==> enable developer mode

I have done what you are trying to do many many times....so I know it works
