Hi all

Is there a quadrilateral (4-sided) shape with similar functionality to the "Triangle: free" drawing tool (3-sided) shape that allows you to freely drag each corner?

The 3-sided free triangle drawing tool shape in Visio allows this independent movement of each corner when you click-and-drag them, but I cannot find a similar shape that allows free movement of each of the 4 corners of a quadrilateral.

Cool idea pretty sure some of the experts in this forum can make a 4-sided shape that works just like that!

Or here is another way of doing it, with a control handle in each corner.

Not at my computer, but... ought to be able to use Pencil tool, select a corner, pencil exits drawing mode and changes to moving / relocating node mode, hold left mouse down and drag.

Ah!  My answer was incomplete... after you use Pencil tool to click select 1st node, hold shift key down to add click select additional nodes.  All will move together.

more obvious way is to use control points.

Will take some education / setup to implement but it will be more obvious to the user.

Yes, control points would be more obvious.  Point was, existing Visio tools allow for a solution without the effort of adding control points.  From a much older posting, here's use of control points to change a solid cube:  http://visguy.com/vgforum/index.php?topic=1421.msg6098#msg6098
