Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to import an AutoCAD .dwg file containing referenced image files? I am currently able to import the drawing via Insert>CAD Drawing; however, the issue is that the embedded raster images do not seem to be visible in Visio. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you are a subscriber of Visio Plan 2, you can import a .dwg or .dxf file from AutoCAD versions 2007 through 2017. If you are not a subscriber, make sure to save the file as an AutoCAD 2007 .dwg or .dxf file before importing.
Your Visio 2016 supported very old dwg-file format !!!

Visio can convert only AutoCAD native objects, once i get dwg file with some embedded objects from another CAD-application.
These objects after import in Visio represented as white rectangles!

Okay, that seems to be the behavior that I am getting as well. Appreciate the response.
