How can I draw a line with text with a null background? If I put text into a line, I get this:

In Visio 2007, I thought I used to be able to right-click on the line or the text and get an option to set the fill to none. I can't seem to figure out how to do that now in Visio 365. I want to get rid of that white background. I don't want to set it to the background color because that is a variable gradient.
Using Visio 2019, part of Office 365 on Windows 10

I don't have the 365 version, but, I'm assuming the "ribbon" is still similar to the traditional Visio versions.

I'm assuming that this is a built-in shape, not custom.

So, all that being true, select the shape, then Hoime tab of ribbon > Paragraph (or Font) > Text Block there will be section for Text Background.  Select none.

Alternatively, open the ShapeSheet, scroll down to the Text Block Format section.  Set the TextBkgndTrans cell to 100%

No cats endangered.
