Copy and Paste Moves Screen

Whenever I copy and paste text into a shape or text box, my screen gets pulled away from whatever I am pasting into, typically down and to the right. While it's not hard to navigate back to where I was, it is definitely an inconvenience. Has anyone else had this happen, or does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
