Change in how visio looks makes it almost unusable

All of a sudden my work in visio is very hard to see.  All lines, saved shapes from stencils, current projects or ones from months ago look really light and thin and gray.  If I zoom in very close things look normal but when I zoom out I can barely tell what is there.  I haven't changed the line weight or transparency (not that that should affect older projects), in fact I have had to change the line weight just to work on things since this and it is still almost not visible when zoomed out.   This same thing happened to me months ago and it was suggested I check my screen resolution (its not that, this problem is limited to visio) and to update my video drivers (I've done this but it hasn't helped)    Last time around the problem eventually just corrected itself !?!  Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you try print these diagrams?
In hard-copy you can find any differences?

I think it is just draft view for video card

When I view a saved project as a jpeg it is fine and anything I print is normal also.
Not sure about the draft view for video card.....

Do you use hardware acceleration?
What Ms Visio version do yo use?

andrew solar

I use 2016 Visio and I do have hardware acceleration turned on

I use visio online plan 2...with no hardware acceleration....works for me
(UI is less cluttered than 2013)
