Cannot change default color of a connector in Visio 2016

I have tried many things to change the color of the connector from black to something else with no success. I can change the line weight, line type, and add arrows but not the color. It will show that I selected a different color but it does not change when using.

I also have seen like it.
But soon recovered when
I changed the pointer to arrow
or others.
