Not sure how to explain this.  Trying to create custom line style and custom line ends to look like power cords.  I managed to get so close but created the line end styles with gradient fill to make the connectors look like they have rounded edges.  I think they look pretty good.  However when they are used as line ends everything is fine with a straight line but as soon as I put a bend in the line the angle of the gradient follows the angle of the main shape (i.e. the line) and not the shape used as the line end.  This gives some interesting effects. the attached picture may so this better.

Any idea how to stop this happening, or am I chasing a dead end with this?

Thanks

I also think they look very good.
