Autoconnect problem in Visio 2016 - unwanted disconnects

Hi,
I have a VBA program which runs perfectly in VISIO 2010 (32 bit version)
It builds an org chart programmatically, connecting subordinates to superiors
In VISIO 2106 (64 bit), it sometimes attaches the subordinate, but also disconnects the superior(1) from its own superior(2)
Has anyone else seen this? Is it a known issue?
This seems to happen only when the higher level, i.e. Superior(2) has more than one subordinate.

I haven't seen any replies, so does no-one else have this problem? I still have to use a workaround in the code

Sorry.  This topic must have gotten lost.  Could you upload a simple example?  From what you describe, seems unusual. Would be nice to confirm.
