VDX shapes batch add connect points and text label box

Hi,
Please forgive me if I posted to the wrong place. (Newbie here.)

I have a bunch of .vdx icons given to me by a graphic designer. I know how to manually edit each one to add connect points on each corner of the shape and add a text box to the bottom of each shape. But this manual process will take me days to complete.

I'm not a scripting or programming guru. But I can figure most things out and have other resources here to leverage if needed.

Is there a batch editor/converter or script available so I can speed this process up? We are using Visio 2016.

Are you saying we first need to get the icons from the designer in .vsdx format and then there are tools/scripts available to do this?
