Hello!

I am very familiar with Excel and Access but have limited knowledge of Visio.

I have large floor plans with plotted assets in Visio.

For these plotted assets, I want to incorporate relevant data from either pivots in Excel or from Specific Tables in Access.

The tricky part is that I want to make the document interactive.. I want the customer to be able to see their total cost of ownership should every asset remain in place and also want to be able to show new costs should certain assets be removed. Ideally this would involve "unchecking" or "unhighlighting" specific shapes on the floorplan that would contain data that would update accordingly on a table. TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP would depend on the number of assets being displayed on the flooplan.  The idea of using Slicers keeps popping into my head... any ideas, suggestions, tips, would be extremely helpful.

Would it be better to import the Visio drawing into Excel or the Excel data/slicers into Visio?
