Hi All,
I'm new to using Visio and have been given a task at work that requires putting loads of 2-D Word Balloons on a layout and filling them with information.
My problem is the tails from the work balloon move to the top (or bottom) if the balloon goes a certain distance above (or below) the area the tail is pointing to.
Is there any way of "locking" the tail on a word balloon to keep it on the left or right hand side of the balloon and prevent it from moving to the top or bottom ?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Depends on exactly what the shape is and where it came from.
Try the shape's right-click menu. Is there an "Orientation" option on the menu?

The attached link refers to a word balloon shape developed by Visioguy, and subsequent embellishments that I added.  Both should prove to be useful.
