Hello,

I have a Master shape that is a group of shapes (an assembly that is repeated throughout the drawing).  When I edit the master shape, the connectors are routed like I want them, but when I update the master shape, it reroutes and moves the connector legs (but maintains the start/end points).  I've tried to reset the connectors, lock them, change the "Behavior" to never reroute, and nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?
Edit: added the images (links werent working)

There are a couple things you might try to "minimize" the number of misbehaving occurrences.  Basically, remove cases where Visio has option to screw up.

For example, on left side of drawing, Visio re-routes the light line going to 1" shape.  The other end appears it comes from a 2x1 1/4" shape, following a heavy line until it makes a left turn, forming a "tee" junction.  Disconnect that end from the 2x11/4" shape and connect it to the thick line where it "tees" off, forming a literal junction.  That way, the thin line is a straight shot only and not a candidate for re-routing.  Barring an actual solution, this might be a work-around.

There were other places on the drawing you could try this.

can you upload a couple of masters that misbehave?

I'm on Visio 2016 Professional.

I changed the routing to go from shapes to connectors and it seemed to work.  I ended up submitting a Microsoft Tech support ticket and they were not able to replicate the issue outside of the file.  They mentioned it was likely something in the file that was corrupt.

Thanks for the help!
