The two vertical lines in the gray area are not part of my shape. Why do these lines appear when I add this shape to a visio diagram?

Can you upload the shape...vsd format?  What Visio version?

Attached is the .vssx file. I'm using Visio 2016

Sorry.  I need vss, not vssx.  Or, just wait until someone else responds.

The lines at the side are created by sections Geometry6 and Geometry7 in shape Sheet.6 that is part of shape 2/2 valve.266

Paul, is there any way to remove those vertical lines?

Paul Herber

Yes, edit the shape. Open the internal shape 2/2 valve.266, then within that find and open shape Sheet.6 and delete sections Geometry6 and Geometry7.

shape updated for you.
I've had to save in .vsd format as I don't have access to Visio 2016.
