Glue connectors the way I want

In Visio 2016 connectors drives me crazy by always prefering the "box" around the shape - please see attached picture - insted of connecting to shape contour. I know it sometimes does this, but can't find the setting to only allow this option.
I have set in advanced glue/snap options to only allow glueing to shape geometry but still can't get rid of this silly thing. What is the proper way to have connectors prefering shape contour ?
