Linking to images

Can I create a link in a Visio document to an image file, such as a JPG file?  I've tried to do as you would a link to an Excel spreadsheet with no success.  I don't want to embed the image in Visio, just have a link to it as you would an external Excel file.  Thanks in advance

Sorry, after more playing with this, I think the problem was I wasn't clicking on the filename label.  It doesn't seem to work if you click on the icon. I don't really want a label for my purposes so I'll see how that works.
