Help using Auto Number Shapes add-on

Hi,

I have already created several process flows using a custom stencil where I originally planned to manually enter the step number. The process maps that I am creating, however, are very long and are completed in a workshop where several fields need to be filled out throughout the meeting. I am looking at automating the fields when possible and thought using the Number Shapes add-on instead of manually entering each step would be valuable.

I have tried using the add-on, but have received mixed results. It does a decent job at numbering the steps and allowing me to number new steps as they are added, however, if I delete a step the numbers do not automatically update and results in missing step numbers from the final flow. As a work around, I tried waiting until the map is complete to number the steps, however, there still appears to be some gaps and the numbering was not as expected. Example: some steps at the beginning of my flow (all the way to the top left) have greater step numbers than steps to the right of them.

I also noticed that the add-on numbers all shapes by default, is there a way to only number specific shapes?
