how do you tell which is a shape's master, assuming there are a number of masters that look identical...?

Right mouse on the shape: --> "opmaak" which is mm sort of like, shape layout, format? don't know how to translate that properly.
its followed by data and shape options...

anyway ;) look for the menu item called "Special" there you can see what the name of the shape is, and also what master it is.

post the translation if you know / find out ...
