Using links to graphic images rather than the actual images?

Is there a way to make use of graphic images in a Visio document without having the actual image in the document or, at least without having to have multiple copies of the image?

My grandson wants to learn to play poker. I want to create a little "cheat sheet" for him showing the various hands (pair, full hours, straight, etc.) with some examples of each. I found a really good set of png card images. But as I have gone about creating the examples, and there are quite a few of them, the size of the Visio document is getting large (25 MB) and on my tired old XP system, it takes several seconds to save it.

Is there a way that I can put links to the images in the doc or have just one copy in the doc and refer to it via an internal link?

Thanks
