Hi everyone,

may seem trivial, but after recent upgrade to VISIO 2016 my text select works differently.  I will try to explain to the best of my abilities, so in example, when I try to select text, a center point is set and I can only select test to the LEFT or RIGHT of this center point.  VISIO 2013 worked differntly and much better for my needs.  It seemed to work better with the mouse position.

Any suggestions would be great!!!

Thanks everyone!!

No I do not intend to upload example.

In Microsoft Word (or even inside this text field), it doesn't seem to matter where the text icon is at as left click+drag seems to override this position as you can mouse over a word and with left click+drag highlighting works in both directions.

one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve

However, in VISIO, (using the above sentence is example)  If the text cursor is flashing in front of the word "ELEVEN", and I try to mouse over in between the words "FOUR FIVE", I should be able to left click+drag in either direction to make highlight selections.  However, in VISIO 2016, nothing is selected unless I hold left click+drag to include the word "ELEVEN"; then and only then is a highlight selection made and only word(s) to left of the word "ELEVEN" are highlighted.

Thanks

I also tried F2 which seems to override guard() controls that I have coded in.  This could be useful but didn't help with text selection.

Thanks for the tips!!!!
