Populating a Text Field with a value in an Excel Sheet

I would like the footer in a visio file to display a number contained in a seperate excel sheet.

If I wanted to do this in word its easy. Copy value across and paste special to keep link.

Visio doesnt allow this. Any function/formula to use to do this utilising the field options?

You could add an invisible shape in the footer, connect the row to the shape and then edit the graphic for that shape.
