Connectors should allways lay out and route around my own build shapes.

This is what i have done until now.

Select the shape, ribbon Developer -> Behavior

select the Placement tab on the dialog and choose

"Lay out and route around".

But it doesn´t work.

What kind of characteristics/properties must have the shape? With office owns shapes it works allways.

Why with them but not with my own shape?

How must I build my shapes? Mybe there is the problem?

Can anyone explain me how to solve my problem?

When you give me your mail adress i will sent to you my *.vss file for testing.

Here is a snip. The signed connectors are wrong, they should go around the shape. Allways automatically.

Hallo Andreas,
the trick is to set the connection points on the group shape, instead of the sub-shapes.
I enclose a file showing the difference.
Note I did not manage to avoid the connectors overlapping.
Maybe one of the other members knows how to solve this issue.

Hello Yacine,
This works! Thanx.
Next step is to manage that connectors don´t overlapping.
Can someone solve this issue.

My experience with non-overlapping has never been very satisfying, but, in limited testing, the following seems to work:

File>Page Setup>Layout and Routing --
1.  Set Separate to all lines
2.  Set Overlap to no lines.

In the shapesheet for the page, you can confirm in the Page Layout section:
1.  LineAdjustFrom =1
2.  LineAdjustTo = 2

See attached, based upon Yacine's file.

Hopefully, my test results were not a "fluke"!
