Hello all,

I was wondering if someone has the know-how to automate through VBA the insertion of semi transparent Text boxs to help users of visio maps keep track of which lane they are in whilst zooming in and out of a cross functional process map.

In theory the VBA codes needs to snap a text box to each square (by squares I mean the crossing of X and Y lanes and phases).

The background text should always equal the cross functional lane (Vertical Y lane) name and the text box automatically centred, if possible auto connect to the edges so that it follows process updates.

I've coloured these lanes in the past but thought this alternative approach would avoid colour distraction and add a more professional look.

Thanks in advance for any help :-)

More than happy to share a before and after photo of what i have in mind.
