shrinking shape on droping it to a smaler page?

Hi
I have a shape in a shapesheet that is in a good size for a "A1"-Page but for the four times smaler page "A4" its huge.
So i thaught it might be possible to resize the shape based on the page size.
The second nice feature of that shape is that it has conection points every 2mm around it. Now if i shrink it to 1/4 i wold like to have the connection points also 2mm apart.
How can i do that?
