Hi There,

Greetings, There is a visio in which I have many containers for different layers like application, presentation and database. Each container has different rectangles with different application names (around 200).

I want to denote each application rectangle filled with unique colors irrespective of which layer/container it present. For an example I want to have a color for application 'X' that is present in Application and presentation layer should be filled with same color.

Please can you suggest an idea how to implement it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you ever resolve this?

Seems like some clarification is need.  You have a container with some 200 or more shapes.  At least 200 of these have a distinct application property.  You want shapes with 200 different colors???  That would be very difficult to discern, the shadings would be very subtle.

What about the two other layer properties?  Do they get additional coloring?

Curious.
