Can't insert CAD

Why does this not work?

Insert a DWG or DXF file into an existing Visio diagram
1.On the Insert tab, click CAD Drawing.
2.Browse to the file and click Open.

I get: Cannot open file.
This file may not be a DWG or DXF file (it is a dwg file)
it may not be in a supported version of the DWG file format (it's an AutoCAD LT 2015 file, but saving it as AutoCAD LT 2010 doesn't fix it)
or it may be corrupted (it's not; it opens fine in AutoCAD)
Check the file and try again (I have, numerous times)

Why doesn't this work???

Try saving it as AutoCAD 2007/LT 2007 Drawing and insert again using the same steps as you described.
