Importing Photos

I'm creating org charts with photos (which are saved as jpgs). Some photos will import and some won't. If I try to import them via the org chart tool, nothing appears. If I try to import them via insert picture, if the photo doesn't appear, it's a box with an "x" in it. I took a class and asked the instructor for help for no luck. I tried contacted Microsoft but that was an even bigger dead end!
