Linking Visio to Solarwinds/HP Openview

I'm trying to link my Visio diagrams to Solarwinds SQL Database. I do this with regular excel sheet but now I want to connect it to a more dynamic database. Has anyone done this? Can someone point me to a white paper that could walk me through this.

David Parker always seems to come up with new ways to link information to visio. You might check his site to see if you can modify some of his approaches. Here is a recent sample
