Repeating Text from one text field to another

Good Morning All,

I'm trying to get cute with our engineering documents at work. I'm trying to remove some of the more mundane parts of their creation.

On the title page of our Visio Documents we include a text field with the job title. I'd like a way to automagically duplicate that text into the title block at the bottom of each of my backgrounds (4 per document for landscape,portait, as well as different page size). I've been able to insert fields to allow for changing the engineers name, setting the creation and edit dates, but I'm stuck on this.

Is this possible?

Hi Andy,
you need a central place to store the job title.
This could be a custom property of the document, then the referencing shape would display a field like: thedoc!prop.JobTitle
Even better would be to use one of the standard properties of the document - like "subject", available under File/Properties.
Referencing it would then be as easy as "Insert/Field/Document Info/subject".
