Org Chart Supervisor Structure change

Does anyone know how to change Org Chart supervisor graphically ?

I have an Org Chart structure - many people reporting to others - I need to change a person reporting to Supervisor A now to Supervisor B.

Picking up the person and their structure and "dropping" him ontop of Supervisor B does graphically move him and his structure, however, it does not change the supervisor captured in the properties data.  It seems cumbersome that if you can physically move a person into a different reporting structure, the associated properties with that block do not update accordingly.

Can anyone help ?

Which version of Visio?
Where do you see this supervisor data?

Sorry, Visio 2010 and I see the data in the Shape Data dialogue - I set up the Org Chart through the Org Chart  wizard and an Excel file.

If that is data that you've set up, Visio doesn't know anything about it. It doesn't recognise the Supervisor field type.

It seems to have recognized the reporting structure from the original Org Chart creation - eg.  this person reports to Supervisor A - and the drawing of the Org Chart placed this person graphically connected to Supervisor A ?

Perhaps Visio isn't smart enough to recognize Org Chart supervisor changes ?

Since I also have a report generated from the chart, I was hopeful that graphically moving personnel under different supervisors would automatically be updated for the report...

It's not that it's not smart enough, Visio org charts have no concept of Supervisor.
Show us the Excel data you used and what settings you used in the wizard.
