Shape size adjustment accoring to text

Hello everyone,

if read a few times, that it's possible to adjust the size of a shape to its containing text automatically by using TEXTWIDTH(TheText). But that doesn't seem to work in my case.
I've created a pivot diagram, that contains also linked text from an excel file.
If I use above mentioned formula the width of shape goes down to 1 as like it wouldn't recognize the text.

Does anyone know a solution?

That's basically right, but your shape is a complex data graphic shape, where the texts are located in sub-shapes.
That won't be that easy to tweak.
