Hello all,

I created a pretty drawing with a bunch of multi-lines with rounded corners.

I published my drawing and got reports back that people with Visio Viewer could only see the base drawing. If I remove the rounding from the multi-lines, the lines show in Viewer.

This can be reproduced easily. Drag two multi-lines onto a drawing, set the format using rounding presets to any rounded corner. Save the drawing and attempt to open in Viewer. The multi-line with angular corners works while the multi-line with rounded corners is simply missing.

I'm trying to show a flow of data through a bunch of different computers. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to multi-lines or an idea on why they aren't showing?

Thanks!

Hi John,
your Multiline is a connector with a line pattern?
You may want to investigate this fact.
Are all connectors with a line connector not displayed in the visio viewer?
Are there other possibilities to build up a line pattern (bitmap, ... )?
Could a convention substitute the line pattern (eg blue line = multi-line)?

Hello,

The multi-line is dragged directly from the tools list, no changes or customizations except for the formatting being rounded corners and color.

Any line without a rounded corner displays properly.

My current work-around is just to skip using rounded corners. I figure there is some Visio magic I'm missing.

Thanks for the reply.
