Timeline Square Bracket Height

I have a timeline that has several square bracket intervals. I want to change the height of some of the square brackets so that you can tell there are overlapping intervals. The height of the square bracket seems to be protected or guarded. When I change the height in the size and position screen, the height of all square brackets on the timeline change to that height. Is the height protected? And, if so, how do you change it?

Are you talking about the Bracket Interval 2 shape?   It has a yellow control handle that lets you adjust the height and also be positioned above or below the timeline.
