After 3 years away from Visio, I am back on it as a day-to-day tool, creating swim lane diagrams. In this job our maximal paper size is 11x17, and diagrams will always be printed. Many of the diagrams are larger than one page, so I am counting on Visio to shrink the diagrams to one 11x17 sheet for printing. But it's not working right.

On some of the diagrams, selecting "Fit to 1 sheet x 1 sheet" does not shrink the diagram correctly. I have attached to screen shots that illustrate the issue. Shot 1 shows a diagram that takes up about 1 1/4 pages horizontally. When I use "Fit to 1 x 1" it shrinks way too much, as shown in screen shot 2.

Any suggestions? This is a major pain in my neck...

I think you can adjust shrink ratio in the setting print window.

I have the same frustration KCN007

All I want to do is to create a custom page size, go about my merry way drawing whatever flow charts or timelines I want and then eventually print to a pdf without it looking silly

How do plotters work with this?  Even making sure the width of a page remains at 297mm, i still cannot figure out how to print to pdf as if you're printing to a plotter

Anyone else have any experience with this?
