Glue Shapes together?

So in the attached file i have two shapes from the same master.
I want them to be able to snap to each other using the connection points I added.

I am not able to find the rules about what can and can't snap to each other :/
Thanks for the assist.

(even loaded up the Cisco stencils and it isn't obvious)

(updated title, was previously Snap Shapes together, then I got told the correct term is Glue)

never mind I did it correctly, I zoomed out too far for it work reliably...

Setting connection points to type 2 seems to be the answer to my question as well, which I already did :)

To be pedantic, that is glue, not snap (in Visio parlance).
