Visio interaction with Marklin Train set
« on: September 28, 2014, 09:59:52 PM »
Hi ,
attached are some video samples of my Marklin Trainset project.
I used MSVisio 2013 to create a model layout of the trainset.
I used VB to encoded macros within MSVisio to interact with the Marklin Trainset via the pc ports.
Thus far I have managed to track the passage of the locomotive on the track layout and drive the Visio graphic to mimic its path around the layout. ( in the video you see the "red" color as the locomotive steps along the track circuits.)
The signals turnouts etc are interactive and will be able to drive the Marklin decoders in the not too distant future.

cheers
Cliff

Unfortunatley file size prevents me from uploading the movies of the locomotive under way

Cheers :)
