I also did repair Visio, re-install Visio, removed AIR from my system, removed Silverlight too

the problem is still there.

anyway I am 'glad' it is just on my PC and you don't see the same.

Guess I will have to live with it for now and thanks for the support!!!

Have you tried a different screen resolution or colour depth or even the video card hardware acceleration?

Seeing you said your running this on a laptop (with a synaptics touchpad?), you sure its not an automatic mouse click being done.

In a current thread about flashing shapes in the newsgroup microsoft.public.visio.general
JamesW suggests setting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/11.0/Visio/Application/DrawOffScreen = 1
and that seems to have fixed the problem in that case.
You also need to tick the box at
menu Tools -> Options - Advanced -> Put all settings in registry
(do this first) and close Visio.
