Unfortunately, when Visio creates an HTM file, it also creates a folder containing the word "files", used to store various tiny files for display in a browser. One of SharePoint's reserved names is "files". If the HTM is uploaded to a SharePoint site, and a new folder is added with the Visio folder name containing "files", SP appends an underscore. The HTML code in the HTM file calls for the folder name without the underscore, thus trying to display the HTM in SP fails.

The only known workaround is to manually edit the HTML code in the HTM file, replacing all instances of the folder name with the new folder name containing the appended underscore.

When I try this in Visio 2010 the folder containing the files is called <document-name>_files with an inbuilt underscore.
Is the text "files" within a filename or folder name also treated as a reserved word in SharePoint? Looking at online articles about SharePoint reserved words it doesn't seem as thought this should happen. You might be better asking in a SharePoint forum.
