I've just discovered Shapesheets and would like to find out if there's a good tutorial online.  I have a few specifics problems and questions, and the posts on this forum seem more advanced, so I'd appreciate any answers people could give.

First, I'd like to create a customized shapesheet, so I inserted a row ("user.row_7") and tried to insert " User.msvStructureType" in the User-defined Cells column, but it was rejected.

I also want to change the default font size, background color and font color.  Could someone identify which fields those are?  And where can I find a style guide to all the numbers?

Finally, can I create both a header AND a footer?  I want to have two fields for separate data for each container.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Basically, a shapesheet is shape oriented.  (Although, a page can have a shapesheet.)  Which version of Visio, as the newer versions, V2010 and V2013, have added features.  The shapesheet does not accept program code directly.  It has a specific defined list of formulas that work.
For a description of shapesheet:  V2007 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms427024(v=office.12).aspx,
For V2010, you might give this a go:  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg144579(v=office.14).aspx
For V2013, there's this  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff768297(v=office.15).aspx

As far as setting default font, background, etc, that's not a shapesheet function.  That's usually down by creating a template.  Google Visio template.  Basically, it's a Visio file with .vst suffix.
