Guarding right side of shape while left grows with text

I found many posts about resizing a shape but what i didn't find is how to guard one side while the other is growing with the text.
What happened is that my shape now grows with the text on both sides of it.
Because it is a Arrow cumming from Left to right i wold rather have it growing o the Left side while the right is staying where i drop it...
how can i guard the right side of it?

Your arrow shape is a 1D- or connector-shape. So your intentions can make problems, when you still want to connect the arrow to something. If the arrow should be free floating without actually connecting to other shapes, and if he should always be in a horizontal direction you could place a formula in EndX in relation to BeginX, so for example:

EndX: =BeginX+Max(1,Txtwidth(TheText))*1in
