Hi guys,
I noticed that after having worked with a template the menu option "New/New mertric drawing" disappears and is replaced by "New/New drawing" which creates a new drawing from the template previously used.
Often, specially when I want to try something out for the forum, I miss the blanc metric template.
This blanc template isn't shown in the list of standard templates.

Is there a way of setting that original blanc template back as source for a new document?

Does at least someone know if a template for the blank drawing exists and if so where it is stored?

How about saving the blank drawing as a template?

As long as the template based drawing is open, Visio thinks that's the basis for new drawings.  If you close your open drawing(s), so that nothing is open, then, the New/New metric will re-appear.  I'm using V2007.

I've created a .msi installer containing two blank templates. File attached.

Thank you both,
Wapperdude seems to be right. My blank templates reappeared.
@Paul, I saved your template anyway.
Best regards,
