Copy page to new document
« on: March 25, 2014, 05:14:06 AM »
Hi
Firstly thank you for this great tool. Just busy trying to copy a current page to a new document. The tool works but in the new document it hasn't kept the layout of the existing page and everything is all over the place?! Is there a setting that i am missing to keep the structure / layout of the page?!

Hi Simon,
It depends greatly on the type of diagram. Some diagram types have built-in routing control that takes over. What type of diagram is it, and what version of Visio?

Hi Paul
Thanks for the quick reply. Its one of our network diagrams. We have various sites listed on a couple pages and i want to split this document up page by page. Its Visio 2010.

I must admit, it might be easier for you to do Ctrl-A to select all, Copy, then paste into the new diagram!
Some of the utilities are very awkward to implement, probably why such features are not standard within Visio, especially with addons that take over at times.
