How to "Un-synchronize" positions

I created a synchronized copy of a branch in an org chart so I could have the manager box on one page with no subordinate and also have manager with all subordinates expanded on another page.
Now I want to remove the connection.  Is this possible without re-creating the chart?
The reason for this is that when I add new boxes or move connection on the expanded chart, then simple chart ends up with lines all over it.
