Hi forum,

for a long time I have been looking for a simple way to connect rectangular shapes in a curved manner in order to simulate bends or curves in things that have a certain height, line border, fill pattern etc.

In Powerpoint there is an autoshape called "Block Arc" that (sort of) can do that, although it unfortunately doesn't snap to the width of an adjacent rectangle:

Does anyone of you guys know of a similar arc shape (with adjustable width and arc angle) that is available for Visio...?

Thanks heaps already

Ahh there it is:

It's called "Partial Layer" and can be found under "Blocks"

...it's for making stuff like this:

Still somewhat unfortunately, those "Partial Layer Block" arcs are quite hard to snap to things (and vice versa) with anything else than the two green handles.

However, this is solvable using lots of auxiliary guides and temporary bounding boxes.
