Switching data graphics between layers

Hi guys, i hope you can help!

I have been tasked with amending an existing Visio stencil which pulls data from an excel spreadsheet.

Specifically what I'm looking for is to be able to switch data graphics between the layers without needing to go into the property editors each time.

In addition, universal Shapesheet object editing that enables wholesale changes to stencil object properites. This includes ensuring that the displayed data graphic is orientated sensibly which can be viewed with ease. At present this too needs to be conducted manually.
