Trombone Visio Shape
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:10:50 PM »
Found another fun shape buried on my hard drive. It's a trombone shape, with a movable slide!

The original file had a "last modified" date of January 31st, 1995, but it may be even older than that!

Long live the Bass Clef!

Long live the bass clef, indeed!

Thanks for something only another trombone player could love.   :)

Yes! Ok Scott, there are now two trombone-visio-ists.

We are well on our way to TAKING OVER!

I played in a genuine Ooom-pah band, in a village just south of Munich for a couple of years. They still have the photo from 2006 on the web-site:

That's me, just to the right of the "Pullacher" shield...

Just a kid!

Say, how about providing audible "notes" as the slide is moved?  Wow, I could make my own song by moving the slide about!!!   ;D

There is nothing I can do with my own instrument (clarinet).  :(
I'd prefer oboe or cor anglais but I know my own limitations (and the costs!).

That photo is too much, Chris! And that's a pretty good sized band -- I was expecting 10-15 people prior to clicking the link.

Hmmm, perhaps we should bring our horns to the MVP summit next spring... I've still got some cheesy duet music we could play...

On that pullacher-blasmusik site, there's a page that has a sound file "beneath" the notes at the very bottom...
