Connectors automatically re-routing and gluing

I am having a problem where i pull a pipeline onto my template and the line automatically snaps to my zone shape that i have placed on my sheet. how do i correct this? I tried putting the zone and title block for the page on a different layer.  Is there a way to turn off or remove all the connectors for a specific shape?

Try moving zone shape to a background page.
