The documentation does not appear to be complete on this.

Visio 2010 I opened up the erwin .erx file (just a text file) and confirmed there is appropriate data.

Database tab -> Import -> Import Erwin .erx Bottom of screen says the data is loaded. Import window at the bottom shows that the data imports successfully, but where is it? I don't see anything?

The 'help' in the import does not mention an erwin file at all. It takes me to 'import your data' This mentions the following: "1.On the Data tab, in the External Data group, click Link Data to Shape"

Which is under the data tab. No option for Erwin. Automatically link is greyed out.

more search. Found the following document, but it only goes through Visio 2002. I have 2010.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722921.aspx

Final step under import erwin states:

After the import is complete, the tables brought in are shown in the Tables anchored window. Drag and drop the tables you want in your diagram onto the page.

Not sure what that is so I went here:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio-help/about-anchored-windows-and-refining-database-models-HP089550090.aspx

So I take this to mean View Tab->Switch Windows button. My tables window is not listed.

I am not sure what to look for next. All the good posts say 'just go to import' and then the help doesn't seem to tell me the rest. Did a search of help for 'erwin' and did not find a single result.
